Over time, dust, pet hair, and debris accumulate inside vents, fans, and heatsinks, restricting airflow and stressing components. This service applies to all systems — PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Sega, retro consoles, and handhelds like PSP, PS Vita, Nintendo DS/3DS/2DS, and Switch handheld.

This is a preventative, budget-friendly maintenance service to restore airflow, reduce noise, and extend the life of your system.

What We Do

  • Complete Internal Cleaning: We carefully disassemble your console or handheld and clean every internal area accessible without damaging the board or key components.

  • Dust & Debris Removal: All vents, ports, fans, heatsinks, and power supply areas are cleaned with ESD-safe brushes and compressed air.

  • Fan Service: We clean fan blades and housing, lubricate bearings where applicable for smoother, quieter operation.

  • Port & Exterior Cleaning: USB, HDMI, controller ports, cartridge slots, and outer shell receive a detailed cleaning for a refreshed look.

  • Handheld Care: Shoulder buttons, triggers, charging ports, cartridge slots, and speaker grilles are cleaned carefully with precision tools.

  • Reassembly & Testing: After cleaning, we reassemble the system and perform a basic power-on test to confirm normal operation.

What Our Deep Cleaning Covers

Our deep cleaning service removes everything that builds up inside or on your system over time, including:

  • Heavy dust, dirt, and debris in fans, vents, heatsinks, and ports

  • Pet hair, lint, food particles, and sticky residue

  • Bug or insect infestations (+$15 extra cleaning fee)

  • Smoke or nicotine residue from smoking environments (+$15 extra cleaning fee)

  • Corrosion or oxidation on exterior ports and connectors (light surface cleaning only)

  • Dried or caked thermal compound around heatsinks (if paste add-on selected)

  • Grime on controller ports, cartridge slots, or disc drive bezels

  • Build-up on fan blades and power supply intakes

  • External shell and port openings for a refreshed look

Important Note on Extra Charges:

  • Bug-Infested Systems: Because pest-contaminated systems require additional time, safety gear, and disposal precautions, a $15 cleaning surcharge applies.

  • Smoke-Exposed Systems: Heavy nicotine or smoke buildup also takes extra time and special chemicals to clean. A $15 cleaning surcharge applies for these systems as well.

Thermal Paste & Pads — How It Works

Different systems use different cooling materials. Here’s how we handle it:

  • Modern Home Consoles (PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Wii U):
    Use thermal paste between the processor and heatsink, and thermal pads on VRMs, memory chips, and other heat-producing areas. Deep cleaning refreshes airflow; paste/pad replacement is available as an optional add-on.

  • Nintendo Switch (Handheld):
    Uses thermal paste on the processor plus a thick thermal putty/pad between the metal shield and heatsink. We clean it thoroughly and can refresh materials if selected.

  • Handhelds (PSP, PS Vita, Nintendo DS/DSi/3DS/2DS):
    Generally passively cooled — most do not use large thermal pads. PSP has no active heatsink. Vita and Switch handheld have small amounts of paste or transfer material under the shield. Our standard service focuses on dust, buttons, and ports.

  • Retro/Older Systems (NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, etc.):
    No thermal paste or pads — they’re fully passive. We remove dust and refresh airflow to restore factory performance.

Default Service: Deep cleaning only — we refresh paste or pads only if you choose that add-on. If your system does not use paste or pads, we still perform a complete cleaning and restore cooling performance.

  • Customer Pays Shipping to Us: Unless your total service is over $120, then shipping both ways is free.

  • We Pay Return Shipping: Always included, regardless of service level.

  • Free Shipping Both Ways Over $120: If your service total exceeds $120, we’ll cover the cost to send the system to us and back to you.
