Reckless Mods provides professional console modding services for a wide range of gaming systems. This page explains how our service works, supported systems, upgrades, shipping, warranty, and customer requirements.

Customers may provide their own upgrades if they are compatible.

Homebrew & System Setup

Where supported, systems are configured with additional software features and enhanced functionality. Devices are fully tested before return.

Homebrew apps will be added and systems will be fully set up and online-ready where supported.

Turnaround Time

Most modding services are completed within 1 business day. Delays may occur during busy periods or high order volume.

Shipping Policy

Customers are responsible for shipping their console to us. Return shipping is covered by Reckless Mods after the service is completed.

Customers must pay for shipping to send their device in.

Required Items

  • Consoles must include at least one controller
  • Handheld devices must include charger
  • Cables are not required unless requested for testing

If we do not have required cables for testing, we may ask you to include them with your shipment.

Customer Provided Upgrades

Customers are able to bring in their own upgrades if they want. There is no need to purchase upgrades from us. If you can provide compatible upgrades, we will install them.

1-Year Warranty

All console modding services include a 1-year warranty covering issues directly caused by our service.

What is Covered

  • Errors caused by the modding service or software setup
  • System issues directly related to installed modifications
  • Boot issues or system bricking caused by our service

What is NOT Covered

  • Water damage
  • Hardware failure
  • Cosmetic damage
  • User damage or misuse

Customer Responsibility

  • Back up all data before shipping
  • We are not responsible for data loss
  • Secure packaging is required
